  • The Puerto Rico Trial Advocacy Competition started on 2006, with the participation of 4 local teams, and was won by the University of Puerto Rico. That year, preparations to open up the competition started, and in 2007, eight outstanding Law Schools from Puerto Rico and the United Stated were invited to participate. From the very first edition, the PRTAC has been committed to developing trial skills in law students, in an environment of professionalism, camaraderie and sportsmanship.  Its first champion in the current setup was the law school from the Catholic University (Washington D.C.)

Thanks to some renovations in the courthouse, we are now able to invite 12 teams from Puerto Rico and the United States. We are proud to say that the quality of teams have always been second to none.
